Millamolong Polo Club is owned and run by James William Ashton. Our Polo heritage is one of the great stories of our time. In the summer of 1930 four adventurous country boys embarked on an ambitious quest to represent Australian polo in England. On a shoestring budget these four horsemen took on the cream of British polo.

The Ashton brothers' outstanding success is one of Australia's great underdog stories, a story about Aussie grit, determination, brilliant horsemanship and victory against all expectations.

What happened in England and then America in 1930 led to Jim Ashton purchasing Millamolong (milla-molong) Station and to this day the Ashton family continue their tradition of polo, horse breeding, farming and viticulture/wine making at Millamolong. For the past thirty years Millamolong has welcomed guests from around the globe who come and enjoy the station and all that is on offer.

The Millamolong Polo Club is one of Australia's most famous and today is one of the largest country clubs in the nation. It has been running for over 15 years and offers the very best polo with the great Outback as your backdrop.

With its own full-sized polo field and clubhouse. Millamolong hosts many national and international tournaments throughout the summer months. These include the Jamie Ashton Memorial Cup (May) and the Will Ashton Memorial Ladies Tournament (December).

Guests who stay at our accommodation on the station are welcome to book in for chukkas and there is tuition and polo pony hire available. Book your own country homestead with you and your friends and have a weekend of polo (plus those who do not wish to play can use all the other facilities available at Millamolong, e.g. Tennis, walking, biking, wine tasting etc.). The Club hosts tournaments each year and regularly welcomes international players. Millamolong welcomes guests who want to play or try their hand at polo.
