In the summer of 1930 four adventurous country boys embarked on an ambitious quest to represent Australian polo in England. On a shoestring budget these four horsemen took on the cream of British polo.

The Ashton brothers' outstanding success is one of Australia's great underdog stories, a story about Aussie grit, determination, brilliant horsemanship and victory against all expectations. What happened in England and then America in 1930 led to Jim Ashton purchasing Millamolong Station and to this day the Ashton family continue their tradition of polo, horse breeding, farming and viticulture/wine making at Millamolong. For the past thirty years Millamolong has welcomed guests from around the globe who come and enjoy the station and all that is on offer.

We offer a range of riding, from trail rides and treks right through to musters (time permitting). Riding can be suited to every level of experience. With more than 40 polo ponies, 25 trail horses and up to 250 brood mares, foals and yearlings at any one time, we will ensure that you have a horse suitable for your needs - and a great time!

Ride in the rolling hills, creeks, rivers and gullies, play at our world famous polo club or book your children into our well-known Kids Pony Pack Camps during their school holidays. Why not come and be a part of one of our polo tournaments or enjoy chukkas over a weekend stay in our various accommodation options.
